  • Devices can be enrolled with Jamf Now using two methods: Auto-Enrollment and Open Enrollment.
  • Open Enrollment allows for personally owned devices to be managed by Jamf Now.
  • Open Enrollment is not active until enabled in Jamf Now.
  • Steps to enable Open Enrollment include:
    1. Click Open Enrollment in the sidebar.
    2. Select the Enable Open Enrollment checkbox.
    3. Enter a four-digit access code to secure your Open Enrollment link.
    4. Specify a duration for the Open Enrollment link to remain active.
      1. Open Enrollment is automatically disabled when this duration expires.
    5. Click Save Settings.
  • Steps to enroll a device with Open Enrollment include:
    1. In Safari, navigate to your unique Open Enrollment link.
    2. Enter the passcode, select a Blueprint if prompted, and optionally enter the user's name.
    3. Click or tap Start Enrollment and allow the configuration profile to be downloaded.
    4. Navigate to Settings and select Profile Downloaded.
    5. Select Install in the top right and choose to trust the profile when prompted.
  • Open Enrollment does not supervise a device.
    • Many settings in Jamf Now require supervision, indicated by the "Supervision Required" note in the description of each setting.
